Our course structure

Our courses offer you an alternative pathway to university in popular areas of study such as Health Sciences, Business, Information Technology and more.

Our Foundation Program, for international students, is equivalent to Year 12 and prepares you for entry into first year university degree studies.

Our diploma programs are equivalent to first year university. Each diploma consists of eight academic units, which you must complete and pass to receive the diploma. Most units have four hours of class per week. Assessment for all units is continuous and includes tests, assignments and case study analysis, and most units have a final two hour examination.

We purposely keep our class sizes small so your voice can be heard and your needs met. With a maximum of 30 students in Diploma classes and 25 in Foundation classes, our teachers are able to give the best possible support and attention to each individual student.

Online (domestic students only) and on-campus classes run between 11am and 9pm on weekdays (Melbourne time). Most units run as 1 x 2-hour lecture and 1 x 2-hour tutorial each week. You can also expect between 4-6 hours of private study per unit, per week.

Your timetable will depend on whether you are studying full-time or part-time, online or on campus, or whether you have opted into the Streamlined Timetable.
