Many cafes and shops advertise for staff by placing a sign in their windows. It’s worth popping in with a friendly smile and a copy of your CV if you’re interested in working there. Be prepared for a chat about what you can offer them. Even if there’s no sign in the window, many places appreciate extra casual staff so don’t be shy to ask.
