Geelong Waterfront campus

Explore the Waterfront campus in central Geelong, where over 4000 students enjoy a modern learning environment at the water's edge.

About Geelong Waterfront campus

Founded in 1994, the Waterfront campus is based in downtown Geelong and boasts stunning views of the surrounding Corio Bay. Many of the campus buildings are converted heritage wool stores, lending a historical air to this extensively renovated modern learning environment. Today, the campus has over 4000 students studying more than 200 different Deakin University courses.

When you aren’t admiring the view out the window, you’ll learn in purpose-built classrooms, computer labs and study spaces, along with a state-of-the-art library overlooking the waterfront.

At the Geelong Waterfront campus, you’ll be in the heart of the action, just a stone’s throw away from the Geelong CBD and on the doorstep of the famous Great Ocean Road and Victorian surf coast.

While you have access to all the facilities and services at the Waterfront campus, you can also enjoy those on offer at the nearby Waurn Ponds campus – a free shuttle bus runs all day between the campuses.

“It is very convenient to live at Deakin Residences as I didn’t have to wake up too early to travel as it is only a few steps away from the college. It gave me more time to focus on my assignments and gained me new friends.”
